The ex-creative designer of Gucci and YSL certainly isn’t afraid to push boundaries and create shock value in his campaigns, and his new collection is just that. The sharp tailoring of Tom Ford’s designs reflects a dash of dominatrix (the leather knee-high sandal boot studded with gold hardware is clearly inspired by Fifty Shades), without losing the feminine essence of a Ford woman. I definitely wouldn’t mind a pair of those cuffs – ankle-cuff pumps that is! What are your thoughts on the collection?

In response to President Hollande’s plan to legalise gay marriage in France, Karl Lagerfeld debuted couture bridal gowns for lesbian couples during Chanel’s Spring Summer 2013 Haute Couture fashion collection. The crimped half-in-the-face tousled hairstyles and gowns showcasing layers of white, veil and trinkets was all just a little too Sweeney Todd for my taste, but the visual statement of the identical blushing brides definitely played up the current controversy! Would you opt for identical dresses in a same-sex marriage?

Pantone, the authority on colour has named Emerald Green the colour of the year and it couldn’t be a much more suitable choice for 2013! Green is often associated with vivacity and hope, perfect for the fresh start to Spring that’s just around the corner. Funny enough, I had acquired the nickname Emerald in the last year after I showed up to work in a green dress – guess I was just ahead of the trend!
